National Saturday Club Summer Show

Across the UK, the National Saturday Club gives 13–16 year olds the opportunity to study subjects they love for free, at their local university, college or cultural institution. Club members attend local classes every Saturday, for up to 30 weeks of the year, where professional tutors create and lead programmes that encourage experimentation and introduce a wide range of activities and practices. The finale of the National Saturday Club year is the Summer Show, an exhibition of work by Club members at London’s Somerset House. The exhibition is open to the public, and receives more than 3,500 visitors throughout the week.

One of our favourite projects to work on, Studio Quercus designed all print elements of the Summer Show, from display boards providing information on each piece of work by Club members to wall-sized panels explaining the National Saturday Club and 10m high banners. Studio Quercus has worked with the Saturday Club for more than a decade, supporting the exhibition and the accompanying Yearbook as the charity has grown from working at four locations to more than 70 in 2022.
